Energy Storage News

  1. The regulator from Iowa has approved the 75MW/300MWh Duane Arnold Solar II project from NextEra Energy Resources.
  2. In Somerset, UK, the construction of a 6MW/12MWh battery storage system was officially launched by Conrad Energy.
  3. Tender cancelled for ENGIE, former winner of the 2019 Guam Power Authority renewable tender for 50MWp of solar PV with 300MWh of battery storage.  
  4. Hyosung Heavy Industries Corp and Pinggao Group have been selected by South Africa’s power utility Eskom to supply 343 MW of storage across 12 sites. 
  5. RES completed the 12MW/48MWh Scott Battery Energy Storage project coupled to a 17 MW solar farm in Virginia on behalf of Dominion Energy.

Hydrogen news

  1. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Renew Power and Egyptian Authorities to develop a $8 billion green hydrogen facility close to the Suez Canal.
