- Mainstream Renewable Power commenced the environmental permitting (EIS) procedure for a 151.2 MW/167.4 MWp solar farm with a battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Antofagasta area of Chile
- The Puerto Rico Energy Bureau (NEPR). is awaiting an updated version of LUMA's interconnection studies before approving 7 of 9 solar plus energy storage projects in Puerto Rico
- The Innovation Strategy of Panama's National Interconnected System was implemented, which included increased storage flexibility options.
- The Octopus Energy Development Partnership (OEDP) plans to develop 1.6GW of solar and storage in Spain and Portugal.
- A draft for a 100 MW tender to replace forced generation in Argentina with renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and bioenergy is expected for 2023. Storage must be capable of delivering energy for at least two hours and have battery power equal to at least 25% of the solar park's capacity.

- Iberdrola SA and the Port of Rotterdam have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deploy 3,000 MW of electrolysers globally by 2030 and generate 350,000 tonnes of green hydrogen.
