Energy storage news - November 12th, 2021

This week’s TOP 5 features news about a battery storage projects in the UK, plans for a large renewables-plus-storage (1GW) in the US, the development of two pumped hydro energy storage in Hawaii, an MoU for storage projects in Papua New Guinea, the acquisition of 190MW/380MWh battery systems in Texas.

  1. Canadian Solar is co-developing 1.5GW/3GWh of battery storage projects in the UK with Windel Energy.
  2. Georgia Power is preparing a draft for Request for Proposals (RFP) to build a 1GW of renewables systems including Storage.
