Michael SALOMON, Ph.D.
Michael obtained his Engineer’s degree at Mines ParisTech (France) and his Ph.D. at Stanford (USA). As an academic in Silicon Valley, he witnessed the boom of cleantech venture capital and entrepreneurship and went on to become a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Paris. In 2009, he founded Clean Horizon, a consultancy entirely devoted to energy storage. Since its creation, Clean Horizon has confirmed its status as the only boutique consultancy in the world specialized solely on energy storage and acting both as market analyst and a technical consultant. As of 2018, Clean Horizon serves the US, Canadian, Caribbean and Latin American markets from its new Miami office. With offices in Paris, France and Miami, Florida Michael continues to successfully advance and contribute in the world of energy storage and its realization. Head of Engineering
Samuel graduated with a Engineer’s degree at Ecole Centrale de Lille (France) and in electrical engineering at Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Samuel brings extensive analytical knowledge to Clean Horizon, with previous experience including the modelling of a Brazilian distribution grid and the realization of a PV plus storage system implemented on a vehicle. At Clean Horizon, Samuel leads the technical activities of the company and monitors the French, American and Portuguese-speaking markets . He specializes in the sizing and design of large-scale energy storage systems, and has worked for multiple Independent Power Producers and utilities, worldwide. Samuel speaks French, English, and Portuguese.
Corentin BASCHET, MS.c.
Head of Market Analysis
Corentin graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering at Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris (France) with an additional master in sustainable energies at the Imperial College in London (United Kingdom). He previously worked in anaerobic submarine energy propulsion systems (at Naval Group) and racing yacht electricity systems combining hydrogen and battery solutions (at Phil Sharp Racing in the U.K.). At Clean Horizon, he is responsible for market analysis activities, with a dedicated focus on Germany, Islands, Malaysia, Thailand and the UK. He also supports the company’s commercial development, worldwide. Corentin speaks French, English and German.
Naïm El CHAMI, MS.c.
Senior Analyst - Energy Storage and Hydrogen
Naïm completed two Engineer’s degrees at Centrale Supélec (France) and Saint Joseph’s University (Lebanon). He obtained his Economics and Management of Network Industries Master’s degree from the Université Paris-Dauphine (France). Prior to joining Clean Horizon, he completed multiple techno-economic studies regarding behind-the-meter energy storage solutions and vehicle-to-grid systems in the American and French electricity markets. He currently works at Clean Horizon as a Senior analyst, focusing on Hydrogen as well as on the Australian, Middle East, Maghreb, Deutsch, Nordic and American energy storage markets. He is also responsible for the Training services performed on behalf of Clean Horizon. Naïm speaks English, French and Arabic.
Serge Kréhi AGBLI, Ph.D.
Power Systems Expert
Kréhi Serge received his Master’s degree in electrical and electronic systems from Félix Houphouët-Boigny University (Cote d’Ivoire) and his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Bourgogne Franche-Comté in Belfort (France). As a postdoctoral researcher for FEMTO-ST laboratory at the Fuel Cell Lab in Belfort (France), he was involved in several industrial and academic projects which focused on railcars, locomotives, and automotive projects to reduce fuel consumption and carbon footprint through energetic hybridization and energy management strategies making use of energy storage technologies (i.e. flywheels, batteries, supercapacitors, lithium-capacitors). Additionally, as a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire Universitaire des Sciences Appliquées de Cherbourg (France), his work focused on on-shore and off-shore, grid-connected and off grid-based renewable energy systems coupled with MW-scale hydrogen production using PEM electrolysis. Additionally, Kréhi Serge is a reviewer in several scientific journals (i.e. Applied Energy, IEEE Energy Conversion, International Journal of Hydrogen energy). Kréhi Serge works at Clean Horizon as a power systems expert and conducts research and development regarding storage-based power system modelling and optimization. He is in charge of dynamic modelling of electrical grids, assessing the energy storage integration benefits while guaranteeing the power system stability. He is also responsible for Hydrogen activities and covering the African (exc. Maghreb), Canadian, South Korean and Switz energy storage markets. Kréhi Serge speaks English and French and possesses notions of Spanish.
Anne-Sophie CHANU, Ms.C.
Anne-Sophie graduated from Télécom et Management SudParis (France) and has over ten years of experience in administrative and financial management in France and abroad. She is in charge of finance, administration and internal resources.
Rachel Locquet, Ms.C.
Senior Analyst - Energy Storage
Rachel is a graduate of the Institut d'Optique Graduate School and Imperial College London. During her master thesis, she proposed a method for electrification of the Batticaloa region in Sri Lanka based on techno-economic optimization. At Clean Horizon, Rachel works on the optimization and techno-economic analysis of energy systems (storage, renewable energies, hydrogen) as well as the associated business models. She also conducts market studies for various European and South Asian countries.
Amine Benchrifa, Ms.C.
Senior Analyst - Energy Storage
Amine graduated with a Engineer’s degree at Ecole Centrale Paris (France) with an additional master in sustainable energies at the Imperial College in London (United Kingdom). Prior to joining Clean Horizon, he participated in the development of a deep learning algorithm that hedges financial risks in power plants as part of his master’s thesis. He currently works at Clean Horizon as an analyst in both technical consulting and market analysis teams, where is responsible for covering Grece, Inde, Singapour, Philippines and Indonesia. Amine speaks English, French and Arabic.
Keila Santiago Bracka, Ms.C.
Senior Electrical Engineer
Keila graduated with a degree in electrical engineering at University of Pernambuco in Brazil with a specialization on Electrotechnical. She previously worked with electrical system protection High voltage in Chesf-Eletrobras, and in the distribution operation system of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil. She is a professional engineer with over 16 years of experience in Power system operation, commissioning and maintenance on high voltage equipment, measurements and analyses of disturbances on transmission systems, analyses of abnormal occurrences on electric power systems. At Clean Horizon, Keila works as senior electrical engineer and as designer for energy storage projects. She speaks French, English and Portuguese.
Rosemary Colaert, Ms.C.
Senior Analyst - Energy Storage
Rosemary graduated with an engineering degree from Institut d’Optique Graduate School. She then received a master of science in physics from Imperial College London, with distinction. As part of her physics master’s research project, she investigated the shape of tropical cyclone eyes using mathematical models and machine learning. At Clean Horizon, Rosemary is an analyst in the technical consulting and market analysis teams. She builds optimization models for MW-scale energy storage projects coupled to renewables along with the related financial models. Rosemary also builds financial models for stand-alone MW-scale storage projects to assess profitability. In parallel, she conducts market studies on European countries such as Greece, Poland and Finland.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection Analyst
Alassane received his master's degree in Cybersecurity and Data Science from the University of Paris 8 (France) with honors. He then obtained a certification in ethical hacking (CEH) and the ISO/IEC 27001. As part of his master's project in cybersecurity, he studied the management of computer security and data protection within a growing SME. At Clean Horizon, Alassane is a cybersecurity analyst and DPO (Data Protection Officer). He manages the design and implementation of Clean Horizon's IT security, manages development and maintenance of the website and he also ensures the administration of Clean Horizon servers.
Vitor Gialdi, Ms.C.
Energy Storage Analyst
Vitor Gialdi Carvalho has a double degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and Mines Paris (France). He previously worked with machine learning and data treatment algorithms as a data analyst. At Clean Horizon, Vitor is a technical consultant and market analyst, as he has participated in the sizing of energy storage projects in various regions including Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Vitor speaks Portuguese, Spanish, French, and English.
Aminatou DIALLO, Ms.C.
Aminatou graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international business. During her program, she did an internship in a digital marketing company. She then decided to prepare a Master’s degree at Excelia Business School where she studies management, digital marketing and communication. She joined Clean Horizon as a trainee in October 2021 and is in charge of our internal communication and external communication.
Beatriz Barros, Ms.C.
Energy Storage Analyst
Beatriz graduated with a degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in electrotechnical at University Mackenzie in Brazil. Then she received a master’s in Renewable Energy from the University Polytechnique of Catalunya in Spain. She worked on projects regarding transmission systems expansion in Latin American countries and for her thesis, she proposed the implementation of solar panels in electrical vehicles. At Clean Horizon, Beatriz is an analyst in the technical consulting and market analysis teams. She speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
After Master’s degree in Philology at the Kyiv National Linguistic University, Oksana obtained a diploma in Jurisprudence and Law at Kyiv National University of Internal Affairs (Ukraine), and completed a Master’s program in Technology and Society at Oslo Metropolitan University (Norway). Before joining Clean Horizon, Oksana had experience in innovation management consultancy developing and supporting innovative projects, providing analysis in highly technical fields, and in helping to identify industrial and academic partners and cooperation opportunities. And after, she worked for an energy company by providing market and regulatory analysis, related to the energy storage systems and hydrogen. At Clean Horizon, Oksana is Senior Analyst and she is involved in Market analysis, regulatory and legal framework assessment, and in parallel she deals with communication and commercial development activities of the company.
Amira Belazougui, Ms.C.
Energy Storage Analyst
Amira graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from École Polytechnique in Algeria and obtained an additional Master's degree in Physics & Energy Engineering from CentraleSupélec, as well as a Specialised Master in Optimization of Energy Systems from Mines Paris (France). Before joining Clean Horizon, Amira worked on examining the carbon footprint of a drug production process. She focused particularly on the impact of energy usage, recognizing the significant role it plays in greenhouse gas emissions. She currently works at Clean Horizon as an analyst in both technical consulting and market analysis teams. Amira speaks English, French and Arabic.
